Electra Townie Commute 27D

Earlier this Spring, when my wife was interested in getting a new bike, I saw the new 2018 Electra Townie Commute 27D and thought that it would be a nice bike for me.  Long story short, I ordered one sight unseen from Towpath Bike in Pittsford, NY.  A few days later, I received a call that the bike was in and ready to go.  My first ride was the 7 mile ride back home from the bike shop.

Within the first 500 feet, I knew that I was going to love this bike.  I've owned many bikes over the years and I usually end up making changes to accomodate my wants and needs.  The Townie has a upright riding position, which I really like.  I can't take a lot of pressure in my wrists and the handlebars of the Townie Commute are just perfect for me.  I love trigger shifters and this bike has them.  Front and rear racks allow me to take my all important "stuff" with me.

The only change I've made is adding a Brooks B67 Aged saddle.
